This motivational success story of Ed Sheeran will inspire you to accept your weirdness and uniqueness and not give up even when the odds of success are against you.
He didn't have an easy childhood. He was bullied at school every day because he was bad at sports, for his red hair, but most of all for his stuttering and big glasses.
As a kid, he had a surgery that went wrong and left him with a lazy eye and serious speech problems.
When Ed Sheeran was 11 years old he performed his first ever live gig. He admitted that if he hadn't taken that terrifying step in his life, he wouldn't be where he is today.
When he was a teenager, he started recording CDs and selling them. But at the age of 14 he wanted to do something more with his music career so he moved to London.
This decision was not easy to live with. Because life was not easy on him. He was homeless for 2,5 years and slept rough outside Buckingham Palace in London. Some nights he didn't even have money for food. He was very close to giving up from his dream. But, luckily he didn't!
Soon, the world was just starting to notice the ginger boy with the golden voice. This was a stepping stone that made Ed Sheeran to dream bigger and try even harder for his music.
He took another bold step in his career and moved to LA without a place to stay or any connections. Ed Sheeran was spotted by Jamie Foxx’s manager. He introduced him to Jamie Fox and the actor was so impressed with Ed, that he invited him to stay in his home and use his recording studio.
In 2017 Ed Sheeran was released his third album "÷" that was ranked as the Most Streamed Album of the year with 3.1 billion streams.
The amazing success story of Ed Sheeran didn't happen over night. He was faced with a lot of struggles on his way to fulfilling his dream. He started as a bullied young boy with big dreams. He was on a verge of quitting when he was homeless and didn't have money for food.. but he didn't.
Have you ever regretted not trying something in your life?
doing nothing might feel like the right choice at that moment not looking far down the road, but it will come back to haunt you in the future. If only you knew how close you were! Despite that uncontrollable feeling of wanting to just give up, it’s actually the most important time not to. That feeling of regret eventually will hit you hard. What if I’d just stuck with it and kept pushing? What if I hadn’t given up? Where I would be in life right now?
What if?
